Jack Phillips, the owner of Masterpiece Cakeshop in Denver, Colorado is under fire again. Having already been previously sued for refusing to bake a same-sex wedding cake, and a gender transition cake because of his particular Christian beliefs….he’s now being sued for something even more ridiculous.
Apparently, he’s now being sued for refusing to decorate a cake of Satan giving a blow job. I’m not kidding either.
Now personally, I would have taken the guy’s money, and decorated the cake with nothing but the words “Your Mom” on it….but I’m a wayward Catholic so I’m allowed such things.
Now I have made this point before, and I’ll make it again. You can’t be discriminatory to WHO you provide services to, but you can and should be able to be discriminatory about the services you’re personally being asked to perform. That cake decorator was willing to SELL the cake to the same sex couple, he just couldn’t write their names together on a wedding cake because of his religion.
So unless you want to live in a world where Jewish bakers are forced to draw swastikas on cakes, old ladies have to draw penises on them, vegan shops have to make bacon cakes, etc than we can’t go down this hole. If someone didn’t want to make me a MAGA Trump cake, I’d complain on Yelp than go to another shop, who GAF honestly.
