Someone’s Praying for a Sick Little Girl? Not on this Leftist Activist’s watch!

The daughter of the head coach of the Lake City High School football team in Michigan, is 4-year old Harper Smith. She has been hospitalized for two months due to an intestinal illness. In support of a sick little 4-year old, students and parents voluntarily gathered on the football field and a pastor offered a prayer. It was a beautiful show of community support for small child.

Naturally, the so-called Michigan Association of Civil Rights Activists just could not stand for it! The grievance organization’s co-founder Mitch Kahle had this to say, “The bottom line is it’s the property of the school, and the school has a responsibility to treat it just like any other school property, and that means it has to remain free of religion.”

What kind of sphincter objects to people praying on a football field on their own time?

The First Amendment states, “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”

Congress was not involved. Even if Congress was involved, it would have no right to prohibit, “…the free exercise thereof…” Why do atheist extremists always seem to overlook that part?

I wish Malignant Mitch would have a spiritual awakening, but that is a weak wish. That wish is overpowered by my wish to see him and his organization financially ruined and legally humiliated for being such insufferable turds. People who use lawfare to bully good people deserve to be on the receiving end.

Mitch and his circle jerk team have a belief system, it doesn’t involve a deity. Whatever, that’s their business. What is NOT their business is what other people do with their time. Mitch has no right to interfere with other people exercising their religion. He, and people like him, should stop trying to cram *their* belief system down everyone else’s throats.

Hey, Mitch, who was it hurting? Who suffered a material loss? Who lost a freedom? Who? What was the compelling reason to raise the threat of a law suit?

It’s also a sad situation when a school buckles to one whiny complaint for fear of a legal battle. I couldn’t even find a website for Mitch’s organization, just a Facebook page. When are people going to stop folding in the face of these paper tigers?

What do I know? I’m Justa Gaibroh.
